BlueScope Steel asks all Aussies to help a mate

Posted on: October 4th, 2012

In the spirit of Aussie mateship, leading steel manufacturer BlueScope Steel is asking Australians to lend a helping hand to those who need it most with the launch of COLORBOND® ‘Help A Mate’ – a community program that will see ten deserving people win a $15,000* grant towards a new COLORBOND® steel shed.

Stellar* Concepts is helping to manage the competition, one of the largest community programs of its kind, which calls on people to nominate friends and family who require assistance to replace a damaged shed or to build a new one – whether it is a local farmer in need, a new shed for the local SES, a local business that is growing or a mate who’s simply doing it tough.

Nominators complete an online entry form at the COLORBOND® steel website or via the COLORBOND® steel Facebook page.  Nominations that receive the most ‘votes’ via the COLORBOND® steel Facebook page will win $5,000 thanks to the People’s Choice Award.

The COLORBOND® ‘Help A Mate’ competition runs until March next year and winners will be announced throughout the campaign.
