Marquee serves up three happening Halloween events

Posted on: November 6th, 2012

Marquee was overtaken by ghoulish guests last week as the team harnessed their US heritage to celebrate their first Halloween on Australian shores.

Stellar* Superheros descended on Marquee the Friday prior to Halloween as scores of Wonder Women, Spidermen and the odd Super Mario took over for Superhero Halloween. We hosted 12 media at a table as everyone got into the Halloween mood while Russian DJ’s Swanky Tunes provided some top tunes.

Saturday night at Marquee played host to Australia’s first ever ‘Yelloween’, an international event held annually in conjunction with Veuve Clicquot at Marquee, Las Vegas. We donned our fangs and capes for the vampire themed party which was hosted by Lara Bingle, who also had the honour of awarding the three best costume prizes – a massive nine litre bottle of Veuve Clicquot for the best costume, a three litre jeroboam and a magnum for the runners-up.

Marquee was at capacity on Halloween night itself, starting early with the Maxim Hot 100 Halloween party in the Main Room, which was aptly ‘hell’ themed in red, while the Boom Box dazzled all the angelic Halloween goers. Sophie Monk, included on the Maxim Top 100 list, attended.
